The Rack Ranch has all the attributes that create an exciting and fulfilling hunt for its guests. A thick, wet and treacherous wet land in the center of the property give these white-tails cover to elude even the smartest hunters and create for an exciting and challenging high fenced hunting experience. The ranch enjoys a healthy population of 150 to 200 white tails, as well as 15-20 albino deer. The property has 40 acres of veneer grade red oak trees, 8 ponds, a natural spring which is the head water for the Kawkawlin river all enclosed by 12,000 feet of high fencing. Guests are treated with small town hospitality and stay in a spacious rustic bunkhouse with wood burning stove, full kitchen and room for 8 or more. The Rack Ranch, is a 1997 2,800 sq foot home with, walk out finished basement, Florida room, heated garage, 5 bedrooms, 3 baths and landscaped view over a stocked pond is positioned just outside the fence within site of the feeding area for the herd.
Hunting reservation and deer ranch. This is a guided hunting operation. There is 150 acres included in the property which is near 200,000 acres of AuSable State Forest property. There are 7 stocked ponds and 12,000 feet of enclosed deer fence. The actual deer herd in the enclosure includes 145 head herd including the bowinkle bloodline.
This deer ranch is located within 10 miles of Michigan's newest Indian casino, Saganing Eagle's Landing Casino. There is 100+ acres of standing mature oaks (some veneer) and an estimated 3-5 million cubic yards of sand on the site. We also have a shooting range on our property complete with ar500 targets for developing shooting proficiency that will lead to cleaner kills.
